Loop Theory is a conceptual independent clothing line providing designs that encourage the wearers to think. Everything is handmade and I'm a big fan of their cityscape prints delicately embracing autumn--the designs are thoughtful as well as beautiful. Many of the photo prints are derived from photos the designer took around Yale and her collars represent, "both metaphysical and metaphorical reflections of an illusive Yale based in reality but perceived only through memory in the realm of mind."Around a year after her collection first debuted, designer Elliy is working on producing more collars and has started an <a href="https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/loop-theory-double-sided-detachable-collars" target="_blank">Indiegogo campaign</a> to make the dream a reality.<br /><i>Prize:</i> I'm giving away the blouse (one size fits most) and collar pictured above.<br /><b>To Enter:</b><br />-visit <a href="https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/loop-theory-double-sided-detachable-collars" target="_blank">Loop Theory's Indiegogo page</a> and tell me your favorite collar design in the comments here<br />-<a href="http://instagram.com/aclotheshorse" target="_blank">follow me on Instagram for a bonus entry</a><br />-That's it, the winner will be drawn in one week and notified by e-mail. Open to International readers.<br /><br />//EDIT:// This giveaway is closed. The winner is Sammy. Thank you to everyone who entered. </div>

A Step In Time

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><img border="0" src="http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z301/theclotheshorse/1u/ruche-34_zps261dd7cc.jpg" /><br />A whole day quickly disappears when you're antique shopping--doesn't it? You hop from one antique mall to another, pressing your nose to the glass cases, wandering up and down the narrow aisles, calling to your companion in the labyrinth to show them some random discovery and before you know it the day is nearly over and your wallet is a good deal lighter. It's also the perfect activity for these sweltering summer-like days; skipping from air conditioned chamber of secrets to air conditioned chamber making the heat and modern world fade away in a cool breeze of manufactured air and dusty remnants of the past. Thomas and I definitely had a good day exploring and drove home with some special bits of history in our pockets even if we didn't buy everything our hearts desired. Vintage shopping is also an exercise in self-control for me--oh another pretty vintage red dress to add to <a href="http://theclothes.blogspot.com/2013/12/room-tour.html" target="_blank">my wall</a>? Lovely, but I can resist today...<br /><div></div><img border="0" src="http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z301/theclotheshorse/1v/1v043/may-54_zpsfbf4b06d.jpg" /><img border="0" src="http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z301/theclotheshorse/1v/1v043/may-47_zps3eb27850.jpg" /><img border="0" src="http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z301/theclotheshorse/1v/1v043/may-42_zps74f80522.jpg" /><img border="0" src="http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z301/theclotheshorse/1v/1v043/may-40_zpse3418c4b.jpg" /><img border="0" src="http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z301/theclotheshorse/1v/1v043/may-44_zpsd4a39c99.jpg" /><img border="0" src="http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z301/theclotheshorse/1u/ruche-35_zps76756418.jpg" /><img border="0" src="http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z301/theclotheshorse/1v/1v043/may-50_zpsd2cd6dfd.jpg" /><img border="0" src="http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z301/theclotheshorse/1v/1v043/may-49_zpsb56fd250.jpg" /><img border="0" src="http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z301/theclotheshorse/1u/ruche-36_zpsbe305715.jpg" /><img border="0" src="http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z301/theclotheshorse/1v/1v043/may-53_zpsc7cc6976.jpg" /><img border="0" src="http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z301/theclotheshorse/1v/1v043/may-58_zps125eee94.jpg" /><img border="0" src="http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z301/theclotheshorse/1v/1v043/may-43_zps4a6b64c9.jpg" /><img border="0" src="http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z301/theclotheshorse/1v/1v043/may-41_zpsebff714d.jpg" /><img border="0" src="http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z301/theclotheshorse/1v/1v043/may-57_zps2c8acf8e.jpg" /><br /><div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><div style="text-align: right;">Outfit details:</div><div style="text-align: right;"><a href="http://rstyle.me/~21jww" target="_blank">Crew Cuts jacket </a><br /><a href="https://www.etsy.com/listing/120985666/cupids-arrow-brooch-red-embroidered?ref=listing-2" target="_blank">Les Mirettes brooch</a></div><div style="text-align: right;"><a href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=761928&b=417942&m=43745&afftrack=&urllink=www%2Emodcloth%2Ecom%2Fshop%2Fdresses%2Fneedlework%2Dit%2Dout%2Ddress" target="_blank">dress ℅ Modcloth</a></div><div style="text-align: right;"><a href="http://rstyle.me/n/i7zd2hu7e" target="_blank">FOSSIL necklace</a></div><div style="text-align: right;">FOSSIL purse (old, <a href="http://rstyle.me/n/i7zf6hu7e" target="_blank">similar</a>)</div><div style="text-align: right;">old shoes (<a href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=761928&b=417942&m=43745&afftrack=&urllink=www%2Emodcloth%2Ecom%2Fshop%2Fshoes%2Dsandals%2Fyou%2Dknow%2Dme%2Dsandal%2Din%2Dwhite" target="_blank">similar</a>)</div><div style="text-align: right;">*pictures of me by Thomas<br /><br /></div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/15904/the-clothes-horse" style="text-align: center;" target="_blank">Bloglovin</a><span style="text-align: center;"> | </span><a href="http://twitter.com/aclotheshorse" style="text-align: center;" target="_blank">Twitter</a><span style="text-align: center;"> | </span><a href="http://www.facebook.com/aclotheshorse?v=wall" style="text-align: center;" target="_blank">Facebook</a><span style="text-align: center;"> | </span><a href="http://theclotheshorse.tumblr.com/" style="text-align: center;" target="_blank">Tumblr</a><span style="text-align: center;"> | </span><a href="http://instagram.com/aclotheshorse" style="text-align: center;" target="_blank">Instagram</a></div></div>

I'm trying out Etsy this time, so check out the shop <a href="https://www.etsy.com/shop/theclotheshorse" target="_blank">here</a>. I'm most excited about my <a href="http://theclotheshorse.etsy.com/" target="_blank">dinosaur butt bobby pins</a>--I think they're such a fun idea and once I made them it's really awesome to see how great they look when being worn! I'll be updating it regularly as I make more necklaces and bobby pins and you can also <a href="mailto:thenewclotheshorse@yahoo.com" target="_blank">e-mail me</a> if you're interested in a custom order.</div>
