After sharing a movie earlier today about a young woman who seems unable to fully mature, it seems fitting to share this photographer's journey that mixes her childhood and her present. Chino Otsuka attempts to explore the fluid relationship between the memory and time through photography. Her series Imagine Finding Me consists of double self-portraits; revisiting places from her past she imposes current pictures of herself into photographs snapped of her as a child. In her own words, “The digital process becomes a tool, almost like a time machine, as I’m embarking on the journey to where I once belonged and at the same time becoming a tourist in my own history.”
