Recently stumbled across these eye-catching designs by UK based brand Sika. Designer Phyllis Taylor began her line in 2006 inspired by the colorful prints of West African clothing; especially from her native Ghana. While based in the UK much of the production is locally sourced and handmade in Ghana with an emphasis on ethical production that earned the line an EFF (Ethical Fashion Forum) Innovation Award. These images are from their "Candy Collection;" I'm a sucker for the brightly-colored patterns in almost 50s inspired silhouettes. Everything is available in the online shop with prices ranging from 69 pounds for a top to 150 for a dress--quite reasonable given the handmade quality of each piece.
