Erdem served up the sort of feminine frocks it does best, but for Fall 2014 the vision was decidedly darkly romantic--like a Gothic novel. A fitting comparison since one of the inspirations was Velázquez infantas, or the slightly peculiar young women that featured heavily in Velazquez's work (he was a leading Spanish artist of the Golden Age).
