People often ask me how I afford my wardrobe and I'd first say that I don't spend as much as people usually think I do (repeat, repeat, repeat clothes), but also: prioritize. I'm more less likely to go see a movie when I consider the price of a ticket fee next to the price of some item I'm coveting. Someone who understands the budgeting game: illustrator Hannah K. Lee. She turned the price-comparison-consideration game into a cheeky zine titled "Shoes Over Bills." None of my shoes cost the equivalent of taxes, but the dining experience and 25 loads of laundry drawings definitely hit home...
