It's hard to believe that I've lived in Amish country Pennsylvania for over a year now and I've still never taken pictures by a covered bridge until now. My region is dotted with these unique little structures; a throwback to older times when wooden bridges were more common and the roofs were necessary to preserve the overall integrity of the bridge through inclement weather. They're not the easiest places to photograph because cars frequently drive through, but we found this one on a quieter road.
