When I picture "still life" my mind conjures up a very specific image of high school art rooms and props of bowls of fruit and vases in windows. This is of course quite counter to a number of the works being produced today and still life photography can be anything but expected and boring. David Lidbetter specializes in still life photography and feather series is a real feast for the eyes. Gradients in color rarely noticed are beautifully captured in his photographs.
